Jay Eckert, RGD, CDP, founded Parachute Design Group Inc. in Toronto, Ontario, in 2003. For the first five years, he handled every project solo, from strategy through design and development. In 2008, he began building a team. Today, Parachute operates with 6 designers and 8 developers across Canada and the United States.

Jay holds dual professional accreditations: Registered Graphic Designer (RGD) through the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario, and Certified Digital Professional (CDP). He leads creative direction and SEO strategy on every Parachute project, overseeing more than 400 website deployments and 80 brand identity programs since founding the agency. Jay has also served as an expert witness specializing in web design, web development and UX design in federal court for the Competition Bureau of Canada.
