Lewelyn Capital Investments is an investment firm startup that wanted to not only make a big splash in the industry, but also to establish a brand that could hold its own amongst the other time tested competitors. To achieve this, our Parachute Design team employed a classic serif typeface and incorporated a colour scheme that supports the idea of longevity and trust. The firms founder and CEO, David Lewelyn relished in the idea of paying homage to this Welsh background and meaning behind the name – Lion – that also lends a sense of strength and pride to the Lewelyn brand.
101 Greenwich Avenue Condominiums approached us with a need to develop a youthful and vibrant logo design for their new-build live/work condominium building. Our client’s desire was to establish a brand that clearly and quickly communicated to passers by that their new condo building was geared towards young professionals looking for a trendy condo in the city, or an urban workspace with a homey feel.
Seriously, who doesn’t love a good pub? We had so much fun creating the McHale’s brand that popping in for lunch has become a staple in our monthly routine. A traditional Irish Pub at its core, but not affiliated with any franchised giant, McHale’s enjoys a local following, live music, and all the mainstays you’d expect both on the menu and on tap. Parachute Design was tasked with developing a logo design that was true to the core and wasn’t too flashy.
One of our most recent friends, Stern Cohen, approached us to not only create a new logo, but to completely redesign and rebuild their entire brand from the ground up across all media. Overflowing with a large team full of unique personalities, our work was cut out for us when we set out to create a brand that represented such a diverse accounting firm. In the end, we settled on a logo design that encapsulated the classic and trustworthy feel we all expect to see in an accounting firm, but with a subtle exuberance brought out through the use of a more playful spot colour, to achieve the firm’s main goals of establishing a contemporary foundation and appealing to a broader, more youthful audience.
